Lock 3 Company, located outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, provides custom mineral processing, custom packaging and raw material supply services. Lock 3 Company provides raw material supply services to the steel, refractory and cement industries across North America. Lock 3 Company was formed in 1959 and was located on the original Lock #3 on the Monongahela River, south of Pittsburgh, PA. In 1998 we moved most of our operations to our mineral processing facility and warehouse in the Mid Mon Center off state Route 136 in Monongahela, PA. Lock 3 Company employs a ceramic engineer to manage our Quality Assurance program and on-site laboratory. Lock 3 Company’s central location logistically enhances “Just–In-Time” delivery requirements for facilities east of the Mississippi. Positioned near Interstates 79 and 70, Lock 3 Company is near a number of intermodal river terminals accessing NS rail service.
